All Dale wants is to make music and love Sara. But he's caught up in the demands of recording and touring, while Sara has graduated art school and found a job. She and her rocker boyfriend are starting down different paths. Sara knows she's the luckiest girl in the world to have Dale in her life--but luck is about to run out.
A lurking, dark past will come back to haunt them both, forcing two young lovers to face harsh realities about life and each other. When the weight of the world is on their shoulders, will Dale and Sara be able to hold it all together for the sake of their love?

Rating:

When I read Dear Rockstar I fell in love right away. I stayed up till 5 in the morning just to finish it. It was such an amazing story. So of course I was happy to hear about the second book.
I loved to get to see how it went for Sara and Dale and how they are dealing with everything that happened in the previous book. I did not mind the end of the first one at all, but I was really happy to get more insight into Sara and Dale's lives now with all the changes in their lives.
In this second book we see where Sara and Dale are now after Dale's rise to fame with his band Black Diamond. There's a lot of new things to deal with and due to Dale's fame his agent want him to pretend that he's single and available to the fans which means that his and Sara's relationship has to be a secret. Something neither of them wants. Sara wants to finally marry Dale and he doesn't want her as his secret.
Dale is following his dreams with the band and Sara herself has graduated art school and have a job.
As if there isn't enough to deal with Chrissy, Dale sister is coming to live with her dad, Dale and Sara. Chrissy who's not nice to either of them and are a rebellious teenage to say the least. Not only that, but Sara's dad suddenly contacts her and she has to figure out whether or not she trust him to really be who he says he is.

As always when it comes to second books it can be hard to live up to the first one, but this one did it justice. Especially because of the end of the first a second weren't expected, but only made it that much better. I loved seeing more of Sara and Dale's happy end and get everything that they deserve. It showed how they struggled with the normal things and adjusting to everything new and creating their life together and overcome the things from the past.
A must read of course if you read Dear Rockstar with the same great writing and and characters that you know and love.

About the author:

Emme Rollins is an up and coming author of New Adult/Mature Young Adult fiction. She’s been writing since she could hold a crayon and still chews her pen caps to a mangled plastic mess. She did not, however, eat paste as a kid.

She has two degrees, a bachelor’s and a master’s, one of which she’s still paying for, but neither of which she uses out in the “real world,” because when she isn’t writing, she spends her time growing an organic garden to feed her husband and children (and far too many rabbits and deer!) where they live on twenty gorgeous forested acres in rural Michigan.

She loves tending her beehives (bees are wonderful pollinators and Hello!? Honey!) and keeping up with her daily yoga practice and going for long walks in the woods with her boxer, Rodeo, who loves chasing squirrels almost as much as Emme loves writing!

Emme loves hearing from fans, so feel free to use the contact page on her site to connect with her.
