Throwback Thursday #2

Throwback Thursday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by me and Stephanie @Bookfever where we feature books that we've read in the past but are still crazy about. It could be a book you read as a child and still remember and love or maybe just a book that you haven't read in a long time and want to show your love for. Each week we'll be featuring a new random question to answer!

My pick this week:

The Host by Stephenie Meyer.

Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of human hosts while leaving their bodies intact. Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, didn't expect to find its former tenant refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.
As Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of Jared, a human who still lives in hiding, Wanderer begins to yearn for a man she's never met. Reluctant allies, Wanderer and Melanie set off to search for the man they both love.
Featuring one of the most unusual love triangles in literature, THE HOST is a riveting and unforgettable novel about the persistence of love and the essence of what it means to be human.

This is still one of my favorite books of all time! It's one those books that have a slow start, but when you really get into it you'll love it more than anything and won't be able to put the book down before you're done.
I remember my dad giving me money for this and that I had to order it from a bookstore so I could get it in english. I now own two copies cause when the edition with extra goodies came out I had to have that of course and honestly I was scared that the first one was gonna break due to overuse.
The Host is actually the reason me and Stephanie (@Bookfever) "met" since we were both obsessing over it at the time.
The story and characters are all so beautiful. I don't think It was one of the first books that made my cry and still does.
Every once in a while I still pick it up and read my favorite parts of it that I have bookmarked with whatever I had handy at the time, most of them is little chocolate santa wrappers :P
This book will stay for my forever. Not even the movie that I watched once, the book is much better.
One the best parts about this book is Ian O'Shea. He's so sweet and caring and just, yeah, amazing.

Quote:

“It's not the face, but the expressions on it. It's not the voice, but what you say. It's not how you look in that body, but the thing you do with it. You are beautiful.”
-Ian O'Shea <3 p="">

 Question of the week:

Do you have an e-reader?

Unless I count my phone and computer with the kindle app then no I don't have one. I really really want a kindle, but shipping prices to Denmark are insane and so I will have to wait a little while before getting one. I need it badly though I have over 1000 books on my kindle by now.

How about you?
